Creative Inspiration
Explore Landscapes #40: I love listening to podcasts. Here's another podcast that I listen to regularly for creative inspiration, Creative Soundscapes with Margaret Soraya.
If you‘re new here, welcome. I’m a professional landscape photographer and hiking/backpacking guide specializing in Joshua Tree National Park. My weekly Monday newsletter is typically a long-form ‘teaching’ article for paid subscribers and workshop attendees. My free Thursday newsletter should interest a wider audience and is typically about my hiking, volunteering, or workshop adventures. I look forward to helping you improve your photography!
Margaret Soraya is a wonderful photographer and artist. I discovered her through her podcast, Creative Soundscapes. In addition to the podcast, Margaret organizes and leads creative retreats and provides one-to-one photography tuition.
In Margaret’s words, “Creative soundscapes brings you inspiration, human struggles and thoughts around creativity and well being. Exploring different ways photographers, creatives, and thought leaders work and live. Going one step deeper into the lives of creative people and tackling the things that challenge us all in our pursuit of a creative life.”
Margaret's quiet demeanor and approach to life, creativity, and art make her stand out. She firmly believes that creativity is vital for our well-being.
I’d encourage you to listen to Margaret’s podcast, take a page from her book, be quiet in nature, and absorb all it has to offer.
Let me be your landscape photography guide to Joshua Tree National Park
My workshops cater to all levels of photographers and include classic viewpoints and hidden gems. I'll ensure you're in the best place to take advantage of the light and weather conditions.
You can choose a one-to-one workshop (and personalize it to what you'd like to photograph, specific techniques, or how far you want to hike) or join a small group workshop (limited to 3 photographers).
Stay for a weekend and immerse yourself in the majesty of the Mojave on a landscape photography retreat in Joshua Tree National Park.
