Nice write up. I think HDR, the appreciation for light spectrum capabilities of the eye versus the camera sensor are largely misunderstood and for many photographers can provide better images and more fun and creativity. I’ve used Photomatix to combine and refine my bracketed photos, works well and is reasonable to license.
Thanks Todd - I’ve not tried Photomatix as yet as have been pleased with the exposure blending that Lightroom achieves. I should give it a go and see how it compares to Lr.
Thanks so much for a really informative post. I often use focus bracketing, but haven't tried exposure bracketing. I will certainly give it a try next time the conditions are suitable :-)
