Explore Landscapes #60: For as long as I can remember, I’ve deeply loved and respected the mountains. They are where I feel the happiest, they calm my mind, and they restore my equilibrium.
Hi Jon, good to make your acquaintance here on Substack. Our farm has a camping barn that is a regular stop off on the Coast to Coast walk here in the UK but I suspect that you passed through before we took it on in 1996. I’ve enjoyed three trips to the US in the last 10 years including Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons last year where we had some epic conditions. I shall be following you with interest as I’m keen to get back over whenever the farm, wife and finances allow.
Hi Dave - thanks for your message and for following. I think we walked the C2C in 1992 so before you had the barn. We stopped in Youth Hostels each night. It’s a wonderful walk. I do miss the beautiful UK countryside. Hope you get to visit the US parks again soon. Have a great weekend!
Incredible photos!! I imagine there’s much untold adventure behind every one. Also lovely selection of quotes !
Thank-you Amaranta - the untold adventures are what makes landscape photography so much fun 🙏
